Garage Conversions

Garage conversions offer the ability to develop and expand an existing plot without using up valuable building space. Many people have used this option to avoid the upheaval of moving house. Also customers find there existing integral garage is not adequate enough to actually function as a garage and choose to redevelop this space back into the framework of the original building.

Integral Garage Conversions

Some integral garages are used no more than internal storage, they end up as a dumping ground for all sorts of things that we collect over a period of time, often these types of garages are ideal for conversion, they are part of the original fabric of the house and can be the most cost effective way to gain extra valuable living space.

Usually they require the floor of the garage to be addressed in terms of it’s height and suitability and some ground works, the walls insulated to achieve the required ratings for living space, where there is not already a connecting door from the house into the garage, or where this door needs to be moved a new aperture will be required to make a connection to the internal of the house, and the garage door needs to be removed and bricked up.

We asked CPS (Central Property Services) to quote for a home extension project involving the rebuilding of our garage (garage conversion) and an additional first floor bedroom at the front of our house.
